Red Rock Canyon Adventure Engagement Session

Updated: Jul 8, 2020

I met Maxine several years back when she had first turned 21, as a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I served her her first beer (it was a Corona). When Maxine's mom reached out and asked me to shoot her wedding, I was through the moon.

You guys--these two love birds are SO down!! Everything we suggested was met with the upmost enthusiasm, they are definitely one of our favorites.

They met us at the entrance of the trail, and immediately gushed over our children. My youngest was about three months old at the time, so we packed our jogging stroller full of camera (and baby) gear, and began our 2 hour hike into the canyon.

Let me tell you--hiking over streams and rocks with a stroller full of stuff is NOT the business. Jade, Max's fiance, immediately jumped in to help Moe with the stroller each time we had to cross a difficult path. They were so easy to hang with and so personable--we felt like a couple of old friends hanging out all the way there.

Our style is very fluid, very photojournalistic. As you can see with these two, they're extremely playful, and we wanted to capture them in their full essence; we wanted the photos to feel very uniquely them.

I think the most rewarding thing about this session was when Maxine's mom called me IN TEARS because she was so happy with the album--that made my entire month. We're so blessed to be able to do what we love, and even more blessed to have clients who truly love our work.

If this session made you want to put on your hiking boots and come hang, give me a shout--we'd love to get to know you.

xo,

Lana

PS--When their wedding was affected by Covid, we took them out to Glamis to shoot another epic adventure session. Check it out here: https://www.twotwentytwollc.com/post/glamis-adventure-engagement-session
